My windows 7 on HP pavilion dm4-3001TX seems to have a problem. It always shows a blue screen error everytime I try to boot it up. I have no idea to fix the start up blue screen error in my laptop that runs windows 7. I have decided to use the HP recovery manager to restore my laptop to its original condition, however the system recovery option under the tab of I need immediate help is somehow greyed out so I am unable to choose the factory reset option. Does anyone have an idea why the factory reset option is greyed out?

I also haven't created the one-time recovery media creation in my laptop. Do I need to create that one-time system recovery into a USB drive first to be able to factory reset my HP pavilion dm4-3001TX?

     I connect to the printer from my IPad and have done for some time. Now it is asking for a password which I cannot remember or find. Is there a way to reset this password.

I have been unable to start up my old hp pc and therefore chose to recover files on a USB stick so that I could transfer them to my new hp laptop. This left me with a backup file (Backup.2.fbw) and an exe (Backup.1). I read that I would need to run the exe to access the backed up data.

 

However when I run the exe I get a message saying that it can't start because MSVCR71.dll is missing.

 

I have read a few articles giving advice on how to resolve this but have not yet managed to do so. Any advice greatly appreciated.

My original hard drived crashed in the HP Pavilion laptop. There was is no recovery media made after purchased.

 

I can get the software, but I just need the OEM key for windows 10

Hello! im having this exact same problem. Im attemptiing to swap out my HD with a SSD that has been cloned using Macrium Reflet. Its an exact replica of the HD that comes standard with this computer.

 

This is an EliteDesk 800 G2 TWR.

 

After cloning the disk using a usb drive bay. I check in the partition manager and i also do not have :"boot flags" anywhere in my partiions. and cannot find a way to add these in windows 10.

 

With Legacy support enabled secure boot disabled in bios,  the drive shows in the bootable list options and i have it set to the top of the list in priority but i get the same error. "No OS detected". 

 

Ive tried using every fix listed above with zero success. How do i get a cloned drive to work on this machine!?? I have 5 of these computers in my office im trying to upgrade for my co-workers but currently spinning our wheels trying to find a fix for this. Ive never had a problem cloning drives before this computer.

My backup drive has used almost all of its memory 930GB out of 982GB while my C drive has used only about 1GB.

Hi, I purchased my DeskJet 3755 printer in Québéc therefor any information I print up directly from the printer as far as 'how to' , comes out in French. If I go to the customer support page for information... the information I'm linked to is in French. I need it in ENGLISH THOUGH !!!!!!  lol    Can I change this or is it because my laptop is also in French (which drives me nuts) Can someone help me ,please ?

HI everyone. I have a 2008 HP Pavilion A6300F desktop. The computer worked fine until my daughter unplugged it and left it sitting on the floor for a few months.  I brought it home and all I get is blue boot screen, but keyboard nor mouse work to select any options.  I have put in a new CMOS battery and reset it as well. I can't get to BIOS or anything else since keyboard and mouse do not work.  I have tested the PS2 ports and USB ports and they are getting juice. The keyboard flashes on and off twice when the computer is first turned on. She doesn't have the recovery disks, nor did she update the computer in the last year :(

Does anyone have a set of Vista 64-bit disks, recovery disks, or drivers for this computer??? It has a 500 GB harddrive and I just want to play around with it and update everything, if I can get the keyboard to work!! I tried a new PS2 and new USB keyboard. No luck. Does anyone know if the "Driver Easy" drivers cd's actually work??? Thank you for any help :) Allison

What should I do after I had to remove the fan from my heat sink to remove dust and one of the screws fell into my case and is lodged or stuck between my desktop's motherboard or case?

i got a blessing at a storage sale, i have a condition called RP, macular degenratioin eye problems,and i am blind in right eye from it, but i lost my large screen and computor in hurricane ,esp designfor visually impaired ,so in the storage of all the things i got , this large screen pc,i thought it was a fat flat screen , but no it is an all in one PC, problem it has a password on it, i know i can not ask how to reset it, cause that has already been posted the boards are not comfortable with doin that, so i need to know what steps, or what company can i take it to to get password reset, i am on fixed income , so i need to know in houston , texas a trusted company , i don't want to be getting taken for my money , i really needed this PC, and i am looking forward to working on it, since the screen is so large i know from just looking at it when i opened it, it will be good for me .i am working on an facebook site to help women this will be great for me to hopefully get working !,any help is great appreciated , thank you so much .

I just unpacked my computer after it being in storage for 4+ years. I can't remember my password to get into the computer itself. I want to just reset it to the factory settings which brings me to my next issue. Neither my keyboard nor my mouse will connect to my computer. I am able to use my touchscreen, but it 's really spotty and doesn't work very well. I've replaced the batteries in the keyboard and the mouse and pressed the connect button on both. The red light shows on the mouse so I'm not totally sure why it's not working.

 

I'm not sure if someone from HP can just go onto my computer remotely and reset, but other than that, I'm not really sure how to reset my computer or my keyboard/ mouse. SOS

Hi,

I am having trouble finding the right Ethernet/LAN driver for my P6803.  It has an Avorix RS880-uATX  motherboard.  The problem I am encountering is that entering the serial number to find the downloads it shows my system as being a Windows 7 64-bit, but it is a not.  It's a 32 bit system.  Is it going to make any difference which Network or Ethernet controller driver I download and install?  I am having to use the internet on one computer, and the driver I need has to go on the main computer.  Thanks for any help that can be provided.

I have two partions  C: & D:  BOTH encrypted with HP Drive Encryption software 

I use Windows 7

I reinstall  a fresh copy of  Windows 7 on drive C:

But I could not install    HP Drive Encryption software  to unlock Drive D: !!

 

Please Help 

 

Do I have this BIOS version already or do I update to it?

Hello Community,

 

Just got my hand on the HP 800 -145 and so far loving the PC!:)

 

I have been updating the drivers and I am now curious when it comes to the BIOS. 

I have BIOS version: F.14 and under my driver/software list there is a BIOS F.14 Rev.A.

Do I upgrade to it or do I already have the newest?

Product Name: Hp All in one 20-c143w
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Tried updating windows using a windows insider build and while updating i believe there was a power surge and now the computer loops from a green screen to a white screen then back to the black hp screen. I can access the f2 or esc settings but when i try to get into these settings a blue mini screen pops up with a key on it........now granted my ex gf could have set a password to it if so is there a way around that or can i update the bios using flash drive and download method......I can post pictures of the screen that loops there are 3.....

HELLO 

I have followed all the steps mentioned here:

But I still have an error message that my local disk is low of space.

My local disk F is 449MB and I currently have 31.2MB. However, there is not folders nor files of programs installed in that disk...

I don't know what else I can do and I would really appreciate help!

I was having problems with loading the page It was saying that “windows is have crushed” so then I have downloaded windows 10 in my flash drive from my laptop. And then I have inserted it in my desktop but it is not working it is stuck now. It not moving anywhere. What should I do? I tried punching <F11= System Recover> “F11” from my keyboard but it is not moving anywhere....
