I tried to reset the pc with a set of recovery I made originally, now the computer will not reboot
tried to reset the computer to original setup, using recover discs I made when computer was new. message is "windows cannot complete installation. to continue installing windows, restart the computer." I have the windows 7 KEY code - can I dowload a copy & install via dvd or cd??

Windows 7 Pro Operating System Installation Disk.
Bought my desktop used 4 years ago. Lately started to freeze a lot and displaying blue screens with errors. Recovery and resetting Windows did not work. I was forced to format my 1TB hard drive. Where do I find Windows 7 Pro installation disk? The Operating System was originally preinstalled.

error msg: 2216
During POST, error msg> "2216 : powered USB cable not attached". Makes no sense as only USB cables are for keyboard and mouse.
Anyonw with a clue or advice most welcom and can earn a reward.

Not able to sign in as not recognising wifi
I shut down my HP Slimline using the 'Shutdown with updates' a week ago and on restarting it it opens on the sign in screen but does not let you sign in it says 'Windows could not connect to the ProfSvc service' . The internet box has a Red Cross through it but when you click on it it only offers 'flight mode'. I have also connected it direct using an Ethernet cable but can still not sign in! Any assistance/advice would be most helpful

Problem with battery
I have problems with fully charching of the battery on HP pavilion 15.6. When I run a batteri test from HP it says that the battery needs to be calibrated/kalibrated. I have tried this, but witout luck. Now maximum charge is 75% - (it takes 2 days to get to 75%)and it quickly goes down with in 2 hours when not in charger.
At the same time it say the battery is in a battery change program, due to genetal battery problems. How can I contact HP to find out what to do, as I have no guarantee. It is 1,5 years old. Any suggestions?

Pavilion 23... need OS & recovery software
My Pavilion 23 p114 HDD crashed... getting blue disk error screen. Purchased new HDD. Do not have recovery disks for OS or driver software. Do not know where to find Windows 8.1 product key. Can repair hardware issues but need guidance how and where I can recover OS.

New Hard Drive, can't install Windows 10 from restore with HP Provided media
I had to replace a hard drive. Because the recovery partition was no longer there I bought recover media from HP. I tried following the instructions provided but the install fails.
Viewing the log CTOERROR.fig, states:
There might be unexpected reboot during [Windows setup].
The process will cause CTO panic
because the image might not be normal now.
I tried resetting bios to factory and disabling Secure Boot and enabling Legacy, still same thing.
Im about to convert it to a frisbee.

adapter needed help
Hello not sure where to post this but I wanted to set up my old pc for my Daughter as she has her exams next year . I have a slimeline desktop 450-a60na but when I put the adapter in the socket it trips our electric. Partner has ruled out it isn't the fuse as it does light up the adapter for a few seconds. So now we need to buy a new adapter and not sure what to look out for as our cheapest option would be to buy one off the internet.
I've posted a picture of the adapter that came with pc can anyone tell me what I need to look out for ? Is it the part's spare number or the replace with HP spare as shown on the picture.
I would be very grateful for the help I don't want to buy the wrong one and have our electric keep tripping lol .
