Greetings,
I may be out in left field.
Having all kinds of unexplainable media problems using Win 7 Pro.
Windows Media player as well as Media Center is DOA.
Tried using Cyberlink Power DVD 15 to play media files on Win 7 Pro with anomalous problems.
Power DVD 15, running on Win 7, would play for a while and then completely shuts down for no apparent reason.
Also having strange stuff going on when using Chrome. You click on a link and get a web server page which then gives an error stating "The site is not available now, try again or go back to the previous page".
I am composing this on Win 10 as Microsoft is killing me.
I give up. The evil empire is beating you one way or the other. There is nothing inherently wrong with my current installation of Windows 7. The people at Redmond are pulling some good stunts to make your Win 7 experience suck. They really want the user to throw in the towel and give up. The folks at Redmond keep telling us "Windows 10 is a much better experience". It sure is when the manufacturer is deliberately sabotaging older operating systems to get the user to upgrade to the latest operating system.
How can a user prove Microsoft is doing something that breaks their software or other vendor's software, which previously worked great on Win 7, but now is broken?
I am listening to music using Windows Media Player on Win 10 as I compose this post. But Windows Media Player is borked on a relatively new install of Windows 7.
**bleep**?
Again, Microsoft is doing bad stuff but no one sounds the alarm.
When does this crap come to an end. When is Microsoft going to be held accountable for this?
I can't prove any of these allegations. But I can say Windows 7 was working great two weeks ago. Now it is messed up.
There is no other explanation, no malware, no hardware problems as the installation is only a couple of months old and the system runs great on Win 10. I did not do anything to Win 7 to cause the types of problems I am now experiencing. I am using the same software and hardware on both installations of windows. Win 7 is now flaky, Win 10 runs great!
I will run Win 7 because I want to. I will use Win 7 until I decide not to.
Microsoft is not going to dictate what operating system I use or control when I make the decision to upgrade the operating system.
I paid for Win 7 and expect it to work until I decide it is time to move on.
Microsoft may be purposefully changing code on Win 7 installations to cause problems.
Is anybody else having strange issues when using Win 7?
Jay
