I have a Hp slimline desktop model # s512w operating system vista home premium (32bit) service pack 2 Browser-Google Chrome. When I try to log into Google my home page is comcast.net the pàge will not load. I get a (Error message that says, we page is not available)It also says (The server at Comcast can't be found because the DNS lookup failed),often cause d by no internet connection. Also says to check youDNS settings.The modem Is hooked to a USB cable I reset that, I unplugged the modem and disconnected the USB cable unplugged the modem and plugged it back in the modem shows all the right lights are on I also Scanned the computer with Norton and Windows Defender, cleared all junk files in windows explorer history I deleted the google history cookies, cache and such. I also have a wifi router hooked to computer and I can get to the internet on my. iPad my kids desktop PC ,works off wifi and that connects to internet and it will open comcast.net webpage, my. iPod will also connect to internet. My phone is hooked through my modem and that works to. I talked to a Comcast tech they tried to reboot my modem they did some other things to then they said every thing was fine on their end they said it was some settings in my computer that are messed up. I have no idea what to do please help thank you.
