Help, Help Help, I'm sure you see that as the first words in a lot of first ime post here. I have an HP configureable Pavilion 951 w/pentium 4, XP Profesional that is 10 to 12 yrs old now.
My wife and I have 2 HP desktops(im using hers now) in our room using cbl modem and Netgear wireless-N router, and had recently installed an HP 3512 eprinter which is connected to the router wireless as a network type printer. it is giving my machine fits....she has windows 7 and works ok. My machine started hanging, stalling, error messages, shutting down etc. i looked it up here and found my proplem on the printer discussions. I had uninstalled all printers(3) on my machine and reinstalled just the HP3512, up until that reinstalation it was running great as usual, after the install it would not start, (the desktop) i would get the Black XP sreen and then it would restart again, and again etc.I could manually turn it off by holding in the button and restart with the same button. Now it doesn't shut down, i have to unplug it, nothing shows on my monitor, if i plug it in I see the power light go on and push the button to start and it starts with the amber lite (harddrive?) on constant for about 5 seconds and disappears, the moment I hit the start button there is a repetitive beeping sound and will not go away, and again nothing appears on the monitor. Anyone have a solution? suggestion? I have important things on this machine that I would like/need to recover. Thanks
