Can someone tell me why the HP Support Assistant Scheduled Maintenance Tasks are configured for Windows Vista rather than windows 8.1?
This is a new HP 500-075 purchased direct from HP. Preloaded with 8.0, updated to 8.1 via Windows Store. The current version of HP Support Asst. was downloaded from within the HP Support Asst. routine (check for latest version). All of the HP Support Asst. Scheduled Tasks from Updates to Tune-up have the configuration set for Windows Vista rather than WIndows 8.1 in the Task Scheduler.
This may or may not affect the ability of the scheduled task to run properly but I have been having trouble with one of the tune-up tasks crashing resulting in an App Crash error.
The only task in Task Scheduler that are configured this way are the HP items, all other tasks are configured for Windows 8.1.
