Am having an issue loading Windows 7 on an HP Pavillion p6241f. I tried to use the recovery software that was created by the local shop here and when that didn't work, I borrowed a copy of Windows 7 home premium from a friend. During the initail boot of windows, the software times out with an E9 error.
The original software recovery disk only gets to 8% then stays there. In an effort to troubleshoot, I have downloaded the cyberlink "fix" (from this web site) and created the CD, This update was for issues arrising while performing a system restore but that did not fix my issue, and so... I decided to borrow the copy of windows 7 home premium.
Am I stuck with a boat anchor? I really don't want to bring it in to HP for repair! Any help would be appreciated!
thanks,
