This is not a question but a statement. I normally have had very good support from HP with PC issued. Today was the exception.
My wifes HP computer Hard Drive failed and needs replacing. Because the computer does NOT work, I called customer support, told them it was out of warranty and that I needed to find a replacement. The person at the other end took my name, the model, serial number of the computer. I am not sure what happened, but suddenly she was in a rush to get rid of me. I was informed that I would need to but the replacement locally and that there was not one available.....thank you for calling, please check with our web site for any more support and click (hand up).
Basically I was brushed off (the computer is an older computer). I was not givern a chance to ask additional questions, or to see if she could help me further.
Later I was able to get to a working computer and searched the HP web site for the hard drive (I needed the specs so I could replace it). Lo and behold, there was a replacement, from HP, available on the HP web site.
I consider this very poor customer support. I was let to believe one was not available. Basically the technician was unwilling to provide the assistance I was asking for. Come-on HP, you can do better than this.
Cheers
