Network driver for clean install of Windows 7 on HP Pavilion 15-n228us

I need Windows 7 on my new HP Pavilion 15-n228us which came pre-installed with Windows 8.1.

I bought a standalone copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. It installed fine (once I figured out how to enable a legacy installer to run from the bios).

I'm missing drivers. First I'd like to get wireless up and running to make the search for other drivers easier. I think that's the "Network Controller" in device manager.

So I go to Device Manager, Other Devices, Network Controller, Properties, Details tab.

Here's what I see for a hardware ID:

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8179&SUBSYS_197D103C&REV_01

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8179&SUBSYS_197D103C

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8179&CC_028000

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8179&CC_0280

I've searched and tried two files from HP called sp52212.exe and sp64202.exe. Neither successfully installed the driver.

What am I missing?
