Am doing another uninstall and reinstall on HP Support Assistant. There are 2 other items listed that it appears suddenly are not correlating with HP Support Assistant. It's called the HPSF which is giving the incompatible message. Is there a possibility that I am having a problem with the correlation being all 3 of these items not correlating?? Is there some way to update the other 2 items, and the HP Advisor?
The Bios (from hp.com), says it is up to date - nothing new since 2010. Rather hard to believe.
Will see if the new, different program will work.
Original Question:HP Question:: 60-508US PC Notebook: Product number #VM093UA. Newer Version of HP Support Assistant was working just fine, then suddenly disappeared. Uninstalled and aareinstalled, but the Windows 7 wouldn't work, only the old HP Support they use to have (downloaded from hp.com), when it updates, it quits working. HPSF troubleshooting compatability, says it is not compatible, lalthogh it was before. Windows 7 Home Premium, seems to be working on a Windows XP Service Pack. The Bios probably needs updating, however, I don't really know how to "tune up" this system. I do not like Windows 8, nor do I want to update. Mr Fix It didn't help either. I also get "warnings" that the HP Update isn't working and my computer my not be secure. Would appreciate someone helping. Have to reboot to reinstall.
