Ever since i purshcased my HP Envy 700-210xt x64 in 12/2013 the Internet Explorer has run REALLY slow, particularly on pages with a lot of links or content. This desktop PC should be well powered (i7-4700 processor, 12 GB RAM), andTime Warner ISP gives reliable 15 mbps download. Windows 8.1, IE 11 (everything up to date). I use a cable modem and Netgear Nighthawk router, although the PC is ethernet'd in. My Lenovo laptop running Window's 8.1 off of the wifi doesn't seem to have the same problem.
However, If i start the PC in Safe Mode with Networking, it's like lightning speed. So i'm guessing it's something with startup. I removed McAfee from the PC and don't have antivirus running temporarily. I've cleared the caches, rebooted. I can't figure this out! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
