Setting the start up screen to start on the Apps screen instead of the desktop

I have an HP Pavilion 23 and run Windows 8. Recently my pc has been starting up on the desk top instead of starting up on the Apps Start screen. How do I set my pc so that when I power up it goes to the Apps Start screen and not the desk top screen?
