Wireless Card HP TS Say Not Working - But Store Connect It?

I have an HP Pavilion All in One 23-p030na which cannot connect wirelessly.  As I work for an ISP, I did a full wireless troubleshoot on the PC before I even contacted HP.  Adapter is BROADCOM 802.11 A/G/N (2x2) The following were tried:

Change router setting Channel (all other devices connected fine wireless btw) signal strength 5 bars - other available connections can be seen

Disconnect all other devices connected to wireless (in case of IP conflict)

Assign IP/DNS settings

Reset IP/DNS to Auto

Remove security from router, so connecting to unsecured

Disable/Enable Adapter

Attempt to connect to BT Wifi with FON

Move PC to a different room

Update Driver

Uninstall and reinstall Driver

Put PC back to factory settings

This time NO ethernet connection made at all, and attempt connection with wireless ONLY as part of Set Up

HP wanted me to reseat wireless card, but refused as this would invalidate my store warranty

So all I tried, failed.  So how come when i take it back to the Store I bought it from, he manages to connect it straightaway to their in store wireless?  I was sent home and told the problem is mine - I even checked the Windows Adapter Log to ensure he had REALLY connected the adapter and it showed Connection - Success and listed the sites he browsed to.

Now I must be missing a trick, or a trick has been played.  Could he have used a Bridged Connection and then deleted it out of the networks later? Dunno.

If you think there is something I've not tried, please let me know because I am all out of ideas now. Many thanks.
