Hi I got an bought a replaement hard drive for my HP Compaq Pavilion dv7-4165dx laptop, and have installed it, but now I can only get to bios and a white screen. I have gotten the following errors.
"Detect some error durring pininst_bbv."
"Check C:/system.sav/log/burnbootwarn.log"
"Check C:/system.sav/log/burnbootmerge.log"
I have a windows 7 disk but it wont do anything with it. I have been told to make a boot disk which I tried but at some point I got a corrupt file error and now I can get to the bios screen then I exit and I get to gray screen and it does to recovery manger and says "The recovery attempt has failed selecte one of the following buttons save long details ad retry. and if I retry and I the top error.
Please help I'm lost at this point.
