HP Envy M6 Simplepass finger reader won't work after un-installing Norton internet security.

I've seen a few problems to do with the finger reader and Norton internet security, however I couldn't seem to find a solution to the problem. I've looked on the biometric devices and it says "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)"

I've been on to the HP recovery section to re-install drivers and applications and reinstalled the HP Simplepass program, but I did not uninstall it before I did this and this may be why it did not work.

What else can I do to make the finger reader work again?
