Good morning everyone!
First excuse me if I do some english mistakes, I am not an Englishman.
so, this morning I start my computer like everydays and it told me « Preparing Automatic Repair ». Just after, the screen told me « Choose the language » (between English (US) and English (UK)).
After, I had the choice between « Troubleshoot » and « Turn off your PC » so I choose troubleshoot
then « Advanced options ».
After, the options « System restore », « go bzck to the previous version », « system Image Recovery » and « start-up Repair » didn’t work. The only options that work are « command Prompt » and « UEFI Firmware Settings ».
So I don’t know what I must do...

Unwanted HP PC info displayed on desktop
The computer name "HP ENVY 700215xt CTO Desktop PC" and below that the words
"Current Location: United States Update" (where Update is a link that takes me to Windows location settings)
are firmly emblazened in the lower right corner of my Windows monitor. I do not know how they
got there, but I cannot get rid of them. they are also not on the "desktop" per se... they are ALWAYS present regardless of the
application I am using, such as this full-page browser. Those words are displayed as the top-most layer in the "Z axis" if you know what I mean. Always present, with the word "update" always clickable. How did this text get there, and more importantly how can I get rid of it? Attached is a snapshot of this post, before I post it, with the text I'm talking about.

Can i create a USB recovery drive on my own, right after a clean install was performed ?
HP ALLN IN ONE, WINDOWS 10HOME, TOUCH. JUST GOT PC BACK FROM A CLEAN INSTALL,I NOW NEED TO CREATE BACK UP, IN CASE I FIND MYSELF IN THIS POSITION AGAIN. CAN I DO THE BACKUP MY FILES TO USB MYSELF FROM HP RECOVERY MANAGER? OR DO I NEED TO ORDER THE BACKUP AND RECOVERY SOFTWARE FROM HP BECAUSE IT ISNT THE ORIGINAL OS IN THERE NOW. Can I restore Windows 10 onto a replacement hard drive from my recovery discs
Hi,
I have a HP Envy 750-177c with a 2TB hard drive that is failing. If I purchase a replacement drive of equal or greater size can I then use my recovery discs to install Win 10 on it and create a new boot drive?

After restart and requesting for updates, the cursor wont react and some click ha slow response
Recently the hp request me for updates and require to restart. After I do that, the cursor has slow response and for some menu it wont react i.e. start button

HP ENVY M6 System Restore Error - The destination drive is not connected
Hi, I'm trying to help a friend fix his HP Envy M6 which was running windows 8.1 originally and he later upgraded to windows 10.
He wanted to start fresh so I used his restore disks to factory reset the laptop. We went through all 5 discs and it rebooted to a screen saying it was installing the software. During this process unfortunately the power lead was pulled out and the laptop turned off. I was unaware his battery was no good anymore. FACEPALM!
SO. I rebooted and as I thought it messed up the process and I needed to start again so I started again from disc 1. It starts the factory restore process and very quickly completes
1. Reformatting the windows partition of your hard drive
2. Copying files required to restore the hard drive
These both complete in the first minute then it sits there on 100% for about 5 minutes then it jumps to about 15% and displays the error "The destination drive is not connected", I press ok and it returns to the opening screen on the restore and is frozen and i have to hard reset the laptop.
Its stuck in this loop and I cant get out if it, I have reseated the hard drive numerous times, cable is connected but I cant even see anything in the bios about the hard drive. I plugged the hard drive into my laptop via USB and i can read and write with no problems and format.
When i plug it into my laptop after a failed restore attempt it does have a folder on it which I assume is the files it copied over.
I'm totally stuck, never had this issue before with a HP restore so I'm hoping someone has some ideas.

Loud fan
I just bought a new hp pavilion 24R180A all in one desktop and I am not very computer savvy but it seems like the fan is constantly running even in sleep mode but it does not feel hot, it's not a very loud sound but I thought it would be quieter. Is THIS normal?

Clean install HP 590-p0050, windows 10 recovery won't work
I try esc'- F2 from menu, tested HHD, all pass... tried "CHKDSK /F, DEFRAG ( won't be recognized to be run on windows vol. ofcourse, and on all partitions thou"... still it won't pass "automatic repair"... "( couldn't repair your PC )" ... tried all options available under advance options... nothing... same message...
Is there is a way to download a starup package?, like if you use a win-10 disk ??... we're under warranty still... I read a lot of Q/A from your community blog, and nothing helps, can someone please help us?, how can I contact HP tech support ???, or ealse ??

compaq pro 6300 mt desktop / usb 3.0 ports driver
Hello, from Greece!
I've got a compaq pro 6300 mt desktop PC that has 4 usb 3.0 ports available.
These ports were OK when I had W7 Pro installed, but now on W10 / v.1903 they run just as usb 2.0 ports!
Having read another thread about a similar situation here, I did update my bios to v.2.99 first and to v.3.07 right afterwards. Susprisely my problem did not get fixed!
The version of Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller driver windows update has installed is 10.0.18362.1 (18/03/2019) provided by microsoft.
When I try to install the latest one of my product HP support site (for W7 x64bit) I get this error :
''this specific system does not fulfil the minimum requirements for this software installation"
Is there any solution to this?

Do I need a BIOS update?

Can't boot from System Recovery CD
System Recovery Disk1 was always skipped when boot time with CD/DVD first boot option in BIOS.
But All partitions in this PC are removed due to HDD replace. Is this a reason?
