I have a perfectly functioning hp officejet f4180 all in one printer that I am attempting to use with my new HP 400 desktop, windows 8.
I have the cd which is compatible with windows just about everything else, but not Windows 8.
I have successfully downloaded the drivers for basic function, however am not able to scan to pdf as that capability is not in the basic software.
When I uploaded the software from the original disk on XP, there was a second option which allowed pdf capabilities.
Is there a download on HP that will give back the capability to scan pdf on Windows 8...i'm really starting to hate this system.
