Hi all,
I'm assisiting a friend who has an HP p7-1280t. The hard drive in his system has completely died. We purchased a new hard drive and we were successful reinstalling windows 7 home premium. The problem Im running into is getting a clear idea of the specific motherboard drivers and motherboard NIC drivers. I come from a Dell shop so forgive me if Im not use to the HP way of handling this. In the Dell world I can lookup the Dell number for the "specific" PC and it will return the speicific drivers for that machine when it was built.
If I lookup the HP product number for this PC it seems to return "all drivers" for the model but not that specific machine. It isnt too clear which driver is for the mother board (I assume its Original Intel Management Engine Interface Driver) Is this list showing me all drivers applicable to this PC? Apparently thats not the case because this PC does not have a TV tuner as an example. I simply need the motherboard drivers and NIC drivers. There are several NIC drivers Im not sure which applies.
Is there a system image on the original harddrive that I can pull off and create a boot disc from that?
Driver results
edit:
it seems there is a sperate chipset driver that would need to be installed ina dditon to the Original Intel Management Engine Interface Driver. Why does the driver download page for this model not have a link to the chipset driver?
