Okay. I've been given the run-around, waited several hours listening to hold music, and gotten nowhere. My motherboard broke on my Pavilion p6234f. I replaced it. Got the BOOTMGR is missing error. So I downloaded Easy Recovery Essentials. I fixed the BOOTMGR is missing error, but then this happened: I turn on the computer, and get a blue screen that says HP, has the Intel logo, and shows a hand. On the bottom it says press F10 to enter Setup, and so on. This screen disappears, and I get a black screen that says Windows. Usually 4 small lights come onto the screen and make the Windows logo. But instead, the screen goes black, and returns to the blue screen I mentioned. I called HP, and they said to call Microsoft. Microsoft told me to call HP; they would either tell me how to access the Recovery Partition on the hard drive, or send me a recovery disc. Instead they did neither, putting me on hold listening to bad jazz and listening to HP advertisements every 5 seconds, asked for a ton of info like phone and email, then said they would have to charge me $60 to help me fix it over the phone, or I could come to these forums. That's called BULL**bleep**.
Now that I'm done raging, can anyone tell me how to access the recovery partition on the hard drive to fix this?
