Hi,
I have a Pavilion p6152f PC
AMD Phenom X3 8450
4GB
750GB hard drive
My computer suddenly would not boot, it would constantly go to the "Reboot and Select proper Boot decive or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key" screen. I attempted to reinstall windows by putting in my windows disk and then trying to get that to run. Still no luck. Next I went into the Diagnostic Tools and got these results
CPU Passed
Memory Passed
Drives
Error Code : BIOHD-2
Warning : No drives detected.
Now I know my hard drive works. I suspected there was something wrong with it and figured I would have to end up wiping it. So with the use of a SATA to USB converter I plugged my desktop hard drive (one in question) into my laptop and took the data I needed. Also I reformated it on my laptop, and still my desktop won't start.
I tested my motherboard by removing the RAM and turning the computer on, it started beeping (which I've been told means it works). Also swapped out the cable, so I don't know what else to test for.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
PS DVD drive acting up also, sometimes it would open and allow me to put in the windows disk but other times would blink green constantly.
