Win 8 64-bit

I am unable to boot into Windows 8 and unable to access the recovery (F11). I just get a blank screen.

I created what I thought was a series of system backup images, but I am unable to boot anything that will recognize the disks and again, can't get into the recovery screen. Same applies for what I thought was System Recovery Tools DVD.

Please advise.
