Desire to change hard drive system boot from, changing boot order has no impact.
Any suggestion?
After applying latest updates (HP, intel, and MS updates), my high end Desktop HP Envy AIO 7JH50AV JUST TURNS OFF. Like a clock, after about 5 minutes it just shuts off. I rolled back to an older image (we are in MS Server domain so rollback images are easy). STILL CRASHES. Can only assume the new BIOS F.15? How can I back rev to check? Is that it??
I dropped a flashlight on my keyboard and now there is a square in the middle of my monitor screen with 'Audio' @ the top of the square. The 'sound' symbol, with 'Volume' indicating that the volume is increased to the max @ 100 (which is showing as a red bar. Any idea how to remove this 'display'? I've shut-down, rebooted, and purchased a brand new keyboard, but, unsuccessful. I don't see an option to upload a picture. 31JUL20

I have a desktop HP 110-210 running Windows 8 stuck in a boot loop. I have tried everything I know how without a recovery disk. Changing boot order, ran a DPS-Self Test which I'm to believe is a test for the Hard Drive? Came back 0, which is supposed to be no errors with the hardware.
Most importantly this all started after a power surge, so I thought the worst for the hardware, but it all seems OK. I don't have a recovery disk, is that my next step? Boot from CD/DVD?
I just want to know how to make a complaint against the horrible customer service that phone number doesn't give you an option for complaints. If anyone can assist me with this I would be grateful. Thank you
I went to update the BIOS to F.43 as per the HP Support tool, and immediately after restart received the error
Recovery
Error code 0xc000000e
The first issue was a required device isn't connected, then next was File:\\windows\system32\winload.efi with that error code.
I attempted to reapply the BIOS using HP recovery, Firmware Maintenance, it failed. Even using a USB. Kept saying there was no signature file, and with USB it applied but came up to the same blue Recovery screen.
I did a restore of Win 10, it could not finish. I did a repair of Win 10, not a full restore, it also failed.
I have to go into BIOS, turn off Secure Boot Manager, Disable Secure Boot and enable Legacy Support, and allow it to boot to the HDD. This was the only way I could get to my desktop, which tells me the failure of the BIOS update corrupted the UEFI settings which means I have to bypass them. Not sure if I should just leave it as it is or try to use Secure Boot/UEFI settings - I have had nothing but heartache using them. Any ideas, let me know, short of a full repartition/reload of Win 10.
Of course my warranty ended 2 weeks ago.

My 20-c023w is really messed up. I can't even get the recovery tool on my computer to work, so I figured I'd need to download a recovery image on a flash drive on a different computer. I did, and I entered my serial number in the HP Cloud Recovery tool, but my model is not listed.
Can I just select a different, sort of similar model?
I looked, there are also no drivers available on the page for my model on the HP website.
What should I do?
