I've restored tons of desktops and laptops but recently my family got a virus on one of our computers and i was unable to remove it(there is a chance they unknowingly gave it permissions). I then tried restoring the computer and left it over night and was asked to look at it when there was an error "No operating system found". I have looked up many solutions and keep seeing use the secure boot to change from UEFI to Legacy mode but that option isnt even there. I looked in the right spot and unlike the pictures i saw i simply dident have the option to use Secure Boot

Missing file error and now is running very slow.
A few weeks ago my computer started giving me error message that said like this: Missing File error: Unable to locale data files. Please reinstall. Now it stoped but its running extremly slow.
I'm not an expert, I tried to look on the internet what to do but didn't have much luck. It's there a solution to my problem?

Can't remove windows 10 home
I have a pc that needs to have windows 10 home removed, so that it can be re-imaged with a company version of windows 10 pro. The problem we are have is, after wiping the drives (2 of them) Windows 10 home edition still pops up after running the Pro Cd. We have eliminated the partitions on the drives, wiped the drives, reset the bios, removed TPM in the bios and have run out of ideas on how to install the company image on this pc. I know I can go to the app store and upgrade, however, we have software and group policy ect. that needs to be on this pc before it gets on our network.
Any suggestions?

open PDg files
I am trying to open PDG files that I have saved. I cannot find anything to help me open them. Apparently, when I updated to up-to-date versions of Windows 10, I lost the programs that saved them. When I searched on line, I was told that Print Shop would work, so I reinstalled my older version of Print Shop, but it doesn't work. I downloaded a program that was supposed to work, but it didn't work either. I have a lot of old photos and documents that I want to access. Can you tell me how I can accomplish this/

Is hibernation possible in EliteBook 8540w with Windows 10 installed?
Last July I upgraded my EliteBook 8540w from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I had to solve some small problems, but afterwards everythink works fine, except hibernation. There are no special drivers for Windows 10 and this laptop in the HP web (all drivers are for Windows 7, even if they work fine with Windows 10). Is there any way to manage to activate hibernation in EliteBook 8540w with Windows 10 installed?

Boot wont complete after reset
I was having some minor issues, so I decided to do a "reset my pc". The "lite" procedure...remove the files, reinstall the os, keep the computer. I assume that meant clean install, not multiple passes, should complete in a reasonable amount of time.
It got to the point where, after restart, it was showing the percentage of progress, but when I came back to it there was just a black screen.
I use my TV as my monitor, so I switched inputs, and for about 5 seconds I could see the little dotted "progress" circle revolving, then disappear. This would repeat every time I switched imports back and forth.
After more than an hour, I manually shut it down and started up again. this time a different looking screen appeared than the percentage screen before. A large circle saying it was installing the os, and then started to display the percentage of completion (starting at 5%) and that it would restart several times.
So I checked back about 10 minutes later and it was at 9%, so I figured it was ok, crossing my fingers.
But now after quite a while (close ti 1 1/2 hours) it is back to the dotted circle, which fades away after about 5 seconds.
Is this normal.
How long should I wait?
Can I ceate a recovery/installatioin disk for my specific unit and start the process over. My concern was that a disk will not have the drivers I need.

Need help with softwear!!
My girls friend brother has recently given a computer to their parents from work an (HP Z220 SFF workstation) and it had to be wiped clean and they had a copy of windows vista they had gotten awhile back so I put it on the computer for them but obviously vista has been gone for years now and you can't get any updates or good web browsers no more that work, the computer had windows 7 pro on it so my question is do I have to buy a copy of windows 7 or 10 or can I get a copy for free since it was technically paid for when the computer was purchased???? And how would I be able to get the copy free if possible from HP I do have the product key for it. I have tried to go to Microsoft directly and entered the product key there and was told I would have to contact the manufacture of the computer.

Windows HP does not recognize my WD Hard Drive Purple Surveilance
My HP 510 - P024 does not find my WD 2.0TB Sata /64 cache WD 20Purx WD Purple surveiillance hard drive. I think I was close to get a drive assingned for it the other day and I left the page with the info. and I cannot get back to that page . But this is Windows 10 and this is nothing like windows 7 . This is a WD Purple surveillance hard drive . I got this on Ebay and when it stopped I emailed the buyer and he said to take it out of the metal box and connect it to a working PC with USB and I do this but cannot find it . I have been there where it says to right click and format the device .
Maybe somebody can figure this out I cannot . Gene

Computer will not boot
The computer continually loops into sequences that say the computer ran into a problem and and will restart and correct the error. It restarts and then goes into diagnosis and automatic repair. It then says it did not start correctly and will restart. It stays in this loop and nothing else happens.
How do we correct this and get past it?

Off lease computer ,HP Compaq 8000 Elite win 7 pro ,cannot find recovery manager
Hi everyone. I bought an off lease computer and wanted to make a set of recovery disks to set up the OS on a new hard drive ,probably a SSD drive . It has the win7 pro key.I have searched everywhere on HP' s website but they all say to go to start and then recovery manager but there is none. I did make a windows backup on a usb drive but I am pretty sure I cannot use that to set up a new hardrive. Any suggestions? Thank you.
