Does anyone know where to locate the touchsmart software to be able to re-install it onto a new hard drive on a HP TouchSmart 300-1230 Desktop PC series. Original hard drive failed and have no way to get access back to the original TS software that came with the pc.

I recently relocated my computer and somewhere along the way I lost the USB adapter for the mouse and keyboard. Can I get a replacement or do I need to purchase a new keyboard and mouse? I am now using a wired setup.
Need recovery cd's. Compute has lost master boot record. Need to rebuild entire computer for grandson. I know cd are not available form HP any more.
I received a refurnished model yesterday,for Christmas,with Windows 7 Professional Installed, of the computer described above.
I have a DVD disk copy of the Ubuntu 16.04 64b lts operating system. So,I put it in the disk drive,hit F10 to go into the bios,changed the boot order to recognize the disk,and saved the changed.
When I put the disk in the optical drive,the bottom light flashed green.
But it would not boot from the disk. It sent me to Windows 7 Professional.
Experimenting further,I could not get the operating system(or the computer or both) to recognize when I had put a blank disk in the player and I could not get the media player to play any disk,let alone recognize that it had been inserted.
I went to the support assistant and,did the check,and downloaded everything,but still,even with the bios setting changed,I can't get it to boot from the disk to install the Ubuntu opertating sytsem.
What should I try next? Thank you.
My fathers hard drive is failing and would like to upgrade to a solid state hard drive. Being up in age he has since lost the restore disks that I made for his desk top computer. The system will not let me create another set. Can I obtain some sort of restore media or disks from HP for this system?
Malware popped up on my screen stating a World Wide Crash ... With verbal 'looping ' instructions to call # XXXXXX. I checked my McAfee Total Protection an found all was Secure ( how did this get past my security ?). Something similar has happened to me in the past when i had Norton Security.
I coundn't delete the screen or the looping instructions.
*I did a reboot / recovery and the problem is gone.
Now onto my current problem which is why I am on this forum. After the rocovery was complete and updates added 'my sound was eliminated'. I've been through the sound trouble shooting - which does not detect a problem .
The last time this happened someone gave me info on a patch ( i did not save it ). Is there a connection / patch i can type in that will install / recover the sound ?

I have a HP Pavilion e9180T purchased in 2009. The ATI 4850 Graphics card it came with is no longer supported in Windows 10 nor ATI, so my HP display now has large black borders. I want to purchase an EVGA 1030 graphics card for this desktop, will it install and work. The ATI card had a connector for power from this machine. Is it necessary for the EVGA1030? Can you also recommend a another graphics card for this machine. I do not need a card for gaming.

Normally, my screensaver on my desktop pc will go away on its own if I so much as move the mouse. Very sensitive to movement. However, a couple of days ago, that changed. It will not go away until I use Ctrl + Alt + Delete. Any ideas as to why this has happened?

The hard drive crashed on my e9237 Desktop. It originally came with Windows 7, but was upgraded to Windows 10. I have my important files backed up, and have re-installed Windows 10. How do I get all of the HP software that was loaded. Specifically the CyberLink LabelPrint, Power2GO, PowerDirector, etc. and the HP Media DVD suite.
I have the recovery DVDs, but didn't use them to restore becuase I didn;t want to start over with Windows 7. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, I made recovery media in May this year, on a memory card of 32gig, and that left about 11gigs on the card.
Now I have bought a bigger SSD and want to install the SSD and all other software.
Sadly I was to fast
I missed that the Microsoft Windows 10 download would delete all files on the media I chose to download to
Now the memory card only contains the boot files for Windows 10...
If I try to make new recovery files for my computer it only says something like "You can only make 1 recovery media..."
I have never used the recovery media.
Can I somehow make new recovery media for my laptop??
